A simple loading order
- 01Stage restricted or questionable items off to the side before loading.
- 02Put heavier debris low and spread it across the floor of the dumpster.
- 03Break down boxes, shelving, boards, and flat material so air space does not eat capacity.
- 04Load bulky furniture around flatter debris instead of creating one big hollow pile.
- 05Stop at the top rail. The load needs to be safe to haul.
- 06Keep the pickup path clear when the project is done.
Common loading mistakes
- Throwing light bulky items in first, then having no room for heavier debris
- Piling material high in the middle instead of spreading it evenly
- Mixing restricted items into the load and discovering the problem at pickup
- Parking vehicles in front of the dumpster on pickup day
